Humble Beginnings in Mbizo
Gary Chabwino’s life story is one of transformation and triumph—a narrative that transcends the boundaries of circumstance and challenges the limitations imposed by poverty. Born in the slums of Mbizo in Kwekwe, Gary’s early years were defined by hardship, deprivation, and an environment where daily survival was a struggle. Growing up in a deteriorating shack on the harsh streets of Mbizo, he was no stranger to adversity. The daily challenges he faced—from the scarcity of resources to the constant battle against societal stigma—could have easily led him down a path of despair. Yet, even in those trying conditions, Gary harboured a Godsize dream, a vision that reached far beyond his immediate environment.
The transformative power of education
From the very beginning, Gary Chabwino recognized that education was more than just a tool for personal advancement—it was a lifeline out of poverty. Under the dim glow of streetlights, he pored over any book he could get his hands on, driven by a thirst for knowledge that was as deep as it was unquenchable. For him, education was not merely a means to escape poverty; it was the key to unlocking his potential and reshaping his destiny. Attending school in tattered clothing and often without proper shoes, Gary faced ridicule and harsh judgment from his peers. Nevertheless, his determination never wavered.

Overcoming adversity with faith and determination
Residing on Chikwengu Street, where every day presented new trials, Gary Chabwino not only persevered academically but also learned the art of self-reliance. This early exposure to entrepreneurship instilled in him the values of hard work and perseverance. Amidst these challenges, Gary anchored himself in an unshakeable faith in Jesus Christ. His reverence for God became his moral compass—a guiding influence that helped him navigate the harsh realities of life and maintain hope even in the darkest moments.
