MASERU, Lesotho – From the riveting performances, the unmistakable regal aura and the sumptuous meals aided by the seamless streams of drinks of various levels of potency, Standard Lesotho Bank delivered a dazzling close to 2023 with its LETOFE Lifestyle show on Saturday.
Held at the traditional venue, Thaba-Bosiu Cultural Village, the show brought pomp and fanfare to the usually sleepy Thaba-Bosiu environs and left it reverberating with joyful rhythms and harmonies.
Rains fail to dampen LETOFE Lifestyle spirit
Not even the rains that pounded in Maseru that evening could dampen the spirits of the revellers. Well, some were left damp. And some, outright soggy. But the raging excitement could not be extinguished.
The showgoers embraced the theme emphatically and were dressed to kill befitting of the royalty affairs that the organisers had sought to foster.
And as promised, the show had something for everyone with the show creating ripples of excitement among attendees through its vibrant showcase of food, fashion, and captivating performances.
When the event started, the skies were deceptively clear, a refreshing climate for Maseru which had been receiving days earlier. It was therefore refreshing and convenient for the festive mood in a space punctuated by a diverse array of stalls featuring exhibitors showcasing their distinct works. The crisp, refreshing air prompted revellers to arrive armed with cooler boxes, camp chairs, and blankets in anticipation of an evening chill.
As the day progressed, attendees adapted to changing weather patterns, seeking cover from the scorching sun under umbrellas. At that point, it was clear the line-up may have been pregnant with performers, but the atmosphere was equally pregnant with rains.
Impressive LETOFE Lifestyle lineup
On stage, the event boasted an impressive lineup headlined by the likes of Mookho Moqhali, DJ Zinhle, Mi Casa, Sefako sa Menoaneng, Monique Bingham, and the crowd’s favorite, Ntate Stunna and more. The stage came alive with electrifying displays, including a stirring performance by South Africa’s Jazz maestro, Jimmy Dludlu, who ignited the audience with an awe-inspiring performance, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of attendees.
