The Government of Japan and the Government of Kingdom of Lesotho (hereinafter called “the Recipient”) signed the Exchange of Notes dated 30th of October, 2017, (hereinafter referred to as “the E/N”), concerning the Japanese grant assistance for The Project for the Improvement of Secondary Schools in The Kingdom of Lesotho (hereinafter called “the Project”) by the Recipient. On the basis of the E/N, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (hereinafter referred to as “JICA”) extended a grant of the amount of One Billion Eight Hundred and Sixty-four Million Japanese Yen (JPY1,864,000,000) (hereinafter referred to as “the Grant”) to the Recipient for the purpose of contributing to the implementation of the Project in accordance with Grant Agreement (hereinafter referred to as “the G/A”) signed on 30th of October, 2017, between JICA and the Recipient. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the Grant will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for Procurement of Works for construction of Abia High School, Motsekuoa High School, Mt. Royal High School and St. Catherine’s High School (hereinafter called “the Works”) The Principal Secretary for Ministry of Education and Training now invites sealed bids from Category A Contractorsfor the Construction of Secondary Schools-Bid Ref. No.:GOL/JICA/W001/2023/2024/L1 and GOL/JICA/W001/2023/2024/ L2.
