Randshow will run concurrently with SMME summit

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa – All is set for the opening of one of South Africa’s premium showbiz events, the Randshow, which opens next month at the Johannesburg Expo Centre.
The Randshow will run concurrently with the SMME summit.
The SMME summit is a platform for small, medium and micro enterprises to showcase their products and services, network with potential investors and customers, and learn from industry experts.
Randshow SME Summit was a huge success in 2023
According to the organisers, the SMME summit was a huge success last year and attracted over 500 participants and generated in excess of R10 million in sales. This year, the organisers said, the summit aimed to build on that momentum and support more local entrepreneurs and innovators.
One of the highlights of the summit is the SMME competition, where 10 finalists will pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges and stand a chance to win R50 000 in cash and prizes.
In addition, this year the Randshow will introduce a pitching forum for youth entrepreneurs with a prize money of R10 000 towards the development of their business.
Adele Hartdegen, the CEO of the Randshow, said the SMME summit was part of the Randshow’s vision to empower and inspire the South African community.

“We are proud to host the SMME summit for the second time and provide a platform for our talented and hardworking entrepreneurs. The Randshow is not only about entertainment and fun, but also about education and empowerment. We want to celebrate the diversity and creativity of our nation and showcase the best that South Africa has to offer,” Hartdegen said.
Randshow will feature an array of attractions and activities
The Randshow 2024 will run from 28 March to 1 April 2024 and will feature a variety of attractions and activities for the whole family. Some of the highlights include the SA Army display, animal kingdom, science and tech zone, lifestyle expo, food and drink fest, adventure zone, kids zone, and Randshow theatre. There will also be live performances, workshops, competitions, and giveaways throughout the event.
