Pretoria – Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in South Africa, His Excellency Chen Xiaodong will next week host the 2024 Chinese New Year celebrations, also known as the Spring Festival.
The auspicious event will also be attended and addressed by the esteemed Minister of Tourism, Honourable Patricia de Lille, and Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture, Honourable Zizi Kodwa.
The year 2024 is dedicated as the Year of the Dragon. The Dragon is the fifth animal sign in the Chinese zodiac cycle made up of 12 animals.
In celebrating the Chinese New Year, the auspicious occasion will provide a platform for cultural exchanges.
The Gala will be a vibrant and enriching experience, showcasing the rich traditions and customs of the Chinese community, with a fusion of South African rich diversity.
