POST: NURSE EDUCATOR
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a position of a Nurse Educator at Maluti Adventist College (MAC) under the direct supervision of the Head of Nursing Program. The Nurse Educator shall be responsible for both classroom and clinical teaching, leaner assessment, counselling and maintenance of academic records. He/ She shall be responsible for meeting all the strategic goals of MAC and the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) service standards. He/She will facilitate and manage the delivery of quality education in compliance with local and national laws, standards as well as SDA regulations and policies.
Key Responsibility is to promote academic and professional growth of learners by:
Training learners to development skills that will
enable them to practice intelligently and reflectively in changing health care system.
Participate in the development, implementation and review of the nursing curriculum
Participating in the monitoring of the functionality of the skills laboratory and support the leaners during work intergraded in the dinical practice setting/ Carry out the actual teaching of both dassroom and clinical teaching of the assigned courses
Preparing lesson plans and/ or workbooks for contract sessions
Maintaining academic records and compiling a course file.
Reviewing and developing teaching and learning strategies

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
BA degree with Nursing Education or BSC in Nursing Sciences (with Nursing Education) plus or equivalent, At least 3 years working experience in the clinical environment,
A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working with learners in the dinical setting,
High level of proficiency in relevant computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point,
Have strong verbal and written communication
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Must be registered with Lesotho Nursing Council, Must be a member of a professional association in Lesotho
Must hold a current practice license as a nurse in
Lesotho

Prior experience in Clinical teaching
Master in nursing qualification
SALARY
Masters in nursing qualification
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
